شهادات من معاصرين للسلطان سعيد بن سلطان (سلطان مسقط وعمان) والذين تقابلوا معه، تضمنت وصف عن حياته وصفاته، باعتباره واحد من حكام الشرق المشهورين؛ فهو نموذج للأمير الشرقي، تجمعت فيه صفات العدالة والشجاعة والتسامح للعقائد الأخرى، وكان بعيدا عن خشونة الطباع، وهو حاكم عادل في معاملاته وقراراته، بل أنه سمح لكافة الأديان من المسيحيين واليهود والوثنيين في ممارسة شعائر دينهم وإنشاء معابد لهم، كذلك وصف لملابس السلطان وملامحه، والقصر الذي كان يسكنه، وعن عائلته وأولاده، وعن ازدهار التجارة في عهده.
